Canada's Longest Snowmobile Endurance Race
On Thursday, March 12th most of the team arrived in Labrador City in preparation to kick off this amazing event on Friday the 13th.
With 30 teams registered for the brutal 2300km challenge, teams of 2 will race around the clock to checkpoints located throughout the rugged and unforgivable terrain of Labrador's heartland. The trail runs from Labrador City to Churchill Falls to Postville to Makkovik to Rigolet to Happy Valley Goose Bay and finishes in Labrador City.
The racers have to be prepared for anything mother nature can muster while being able to keep their sleds running in order to complete the challenge. Unfortunately many teams are unable to cope with the hardships and have to bow out of the race. Amongst this special breed of snowmobile enthusiast, this race is declared the "Worlds Toughest"
With 20 teams remaining in the last leg of the race, the spetacular finish will be an exciting event.
