Polaris 600 race sled Rocks the new OEM competition

Polaris had a strong showing at this years SnoCross Nationals in Duluth With drivers like Kylie Abrahamson , Ross Martin, Mike Schultz,D.J. Eckstrom, Levi LaVallee , BobbyLePage and TJ Gulla piloting the Polaris's to victory in many of the classes.

There's a great article over on MaximumSled.com about the Duluth National race and the results.

The new success in the Polaris camp is largely attributed to the strong purpose built race sled which debuted last year on the National circuit as a dominant competitor. Now, with the new Stock 600 class machine available to the public as the trail friendly 600RR IQ, you and I can feel like SnoCross superstars in our favorite off trail riding areas. Polaris didn't leave much on the table in terms of performace of the 600RR,  because this sled is a rocket out of the hole and very flickable. With it's Walker Evans piggybacks soaking up the bumps in cooperation with a strong chasis and suspension, it makes the worst bumped out trails feel like a sunday ride in the park.

There's no doubt about it, the 600RR is a contender, as the podium results indicate at Duluth.

There's an excellent review over on snowmobile.off-road.com of the 2008 600RR. If you like understanding the tech that make these machines tick, then it's worth a read.

It's easy to tell this is going to be an interesting year on the track, especially with all the Manufacturers new racing models crowding the start gates at the National Events. Stay tuned, we'll definitely be keeping our thumb on the action throughout the season. Our bets are on the 600RR for consistent wins in all the classes.
