Skidoo REV-XU Expedition raises the stakes.

If you havn't had the opportunity to check out SkiDoo's 2009 lineup at your local dealership, then you'll be amazed when you set your eyes on the new TUV lineup representing SkiDoo's utility segment.

The stereotype of utility has officially been eradicated with the new "Do what you want, go where you want" personality of the REV-XU chasis on which these impressive sleds are built on, most notably the new Expedition model.

If you like the practicallity of utility, performance and luxury rolled into a snowmobile model that can rise to any occasion and perform to your expectations, the TUV is for you.

Some of the TUV highlights:

  • Rider forward position and additional eight inches of legroom increase  overall comfort and rider maneuverability.
  • REV-XU platform adds more passenger convenience, such as underseat storage and a roomy storage rack and a host of touring oriented luxury features.
  • 600 SDI powerplant pulling the massive 20 x 156 x 1.25 track through the HI/Lo/Reverse Synchromesh Transmission power is more than adequate.
  • Add a large 11 gallon fuel tank and a formidable suspension front to rear, the TUV is prepped for any tough adventure your willing to attempt.
  • Light weight chasis is 70+ lbs lighter than previous yeti based models from SkiDoo.
  • Beveled tunnel, modular 2-up seat
  • Handlebar with mountain strap and J-hooks, rack, hitch, box
  • Multi-function gauge w/display
  • Electric start
  • 12V power outlet
  • Extra high windshield
  • Windshield mirrors
  • Heated passenger grip
  • Temperature gauge
  • Cooling Radiator with fan

Wether you're hammering through rough terrain, boondocking powdery fields or climbing the steep and deep the TUV is surprisingly nimble for a utility sled and can respectively hang with it's lighter sibling sleds.

After seeing the TUV in action, it's fair to say it's the only Utility snowmobile offering more than raw utility, effectively raising the bar for 2010 utility lineups from the other OEM's, especially if SkiDoo adds the E-Tec and new 4-Tec engine options for the ultimate in performance and economy for  the utility segment.
